Our Wedding

Our Love Story We met the summer before junior year of high school—two teenagers from different counties, attending different schools, brought together by fate and a sweet sixteen party. While everyone else was splashing around in the pool, Helena sat off to the side, completely absorbed in a book. That quiet moment turned into something unforgettable when Bernard struck up a conversation. From there, our story unfolded piece by piece. Between cheerleading and football, we made time to support each other at games whenever our busy schedules allowed. And even as the world shifted with the pandemic, we kept our relationship steady, finding ways to stay connected through all the chaos of those high school years. When college came, it meant new cities, new jobs, and new challenges. But even with distance and responsibility pulling at us, we never let go of what we had. We worked, studied, and loved our way through it all—side by side, even when miles apart. Then, in 2023, during a beautiful trip with Helena’s family, Bernard got down on one knee and asked the question that had been written in our hearts for years. Of course, she said yes. We’ve now graduated and are stepping into a new chapter—planning our forever. These past seven years have been filled with growth, laughter, support, and unwavering love. If the journey so far is any sign of what’s to come, we know the best is still ahead. We can’t wait to see what life has in store for us!
